Membership of the Westlake Village Symphony is open to all adult orchestral professional, semi-professional, and aspiring musicians who embrace opportunities to grow musically and perform masterpiece repertoire. WVS performs between 5 to 7 concerts each season and rehearses on Wednesday evenings in Westlake Village, California.

Westlake Village Symphony Auditions:
1) Sit in and play at a WVS rehearsal.
2) After rehearsal, in consultation with your section principal, choose scales and excerpts from one of the rehearsed pieces to prepare.
3) Sit in with the orchestra for a second rehearsal the next week. Then, complete a short audition on your chosen excerpt and scale after the rehearsal. You will be notified of the results a day or two after the audition by phone or email.
